I am currently sharing 4 yoga classes per week at YARD Society.
Tuesday/Thursday 1:30 - 3:00 pm Gentle Modified Yoga is a style of practice designed for people with more specialized needs. Seniors, people living with chronic health conditions, people recovering from illness or injury, and those who wish to practice a very gentle yoga are welcome. We use props, including chairs. If getting down and up from the floor is an issue, alternatives are given.
Wednesday 9:30 - 11:00 am Light Vinyasa Flow is a gentler flow style class practiced in a comfortable room temperature. Various flow sequences are shown. Students are given opportunities to learn techniques to move in and out of postures with ease, building strength, flexibility, and endurance. It is not suitable for beginning practitioners. Students should have a minimum of one year experience to attend.
Friday 9:30 - 11:00 am Mindfulness Practice takes you into a deeper awareness of how you are practicing your yoga and your life. This is appropriate for all levels of student and focuses on finding comfort in postures, developing awareness of breath, and finding peace within through contemplative reflection. I am sharing these classes with some other wonderful teachers from Yoga YARD!
Ayurvedic Yoga - Fall 2018
Discover your elemental balance through yoga. Each mini - workshop is 3 hours long, from 9 am - 12 pm. $65 or $75 at the door. Workshop is being held at Yoga YARD in Red Deer and sign up is online (www.reddeeryoga.ca) or in studio. You can take each workshop on its own, or enjoy all of them.
